| Parasailing and various water sports are available from St. Pete Beach. Bush Gardens Adventure Park is a short drive and Disney World with all the Orlando features are within easy reach.
Three of the Top 20 beaches in the USA are in Pinellas County. The closest (5 minutes drive) and most pristine beaches are at Fort DeSoto (VOTED AMERICA'S NUMBER ONE BEACH 2005)being a 900-acre nature preserve consisting of five islands, seven miles of undevelopped beaches, boat ramps, fishing piers, paved fitness trails and the historic fort. The white sands of St. Petersburg's 500-foot Gulf-front municipal beach on Treasure Island is certified annually by the National Clean Beaches Council as an outstanding environmentally-friendly 'Blue Wave' beach. |
